This beginner-level course introduces clinicians to the fundamentals of immediate implant placement following tooth extraction. Through a balance of lecture and hands-on training with models and dummy implants, participants will learn key principles of case selection, atraumatic extraction, and basic implant site preparation. The program provides a supportive environment for building confidence in immediate implant placement and preparing to integrate these techniques into everyday practice.
By the end of the course, clinicians will be able to:
• Understand the biological principles and clinical rationale for
immediate implant placement following extraction.
• Identify appropriate patient selection criteria and common
contraindications for immediate implants.
• atraumatic extraction techniques and basic implant site
preparation steps.
• Become familiar with the design and features of the Anyridge
implant system.
• Recognize common pitfalls and early-stage complications in
immediate implant placement and strategies to avoid them.
During the hands-on session, participants will:
• Practice atraumatic extraction techniques on dental models.
• Perform step-by-step osteotomy preparation using dummy
drills and instruments.
• Place dummy implants into model extraction sockets, gaining
experience with positioning, angulation, and depth control.
• Explore provisionalization and soft tissue management
concepts in a simulated setting. Build confidence with the
basic workflow of immediate implant placement before
progressing to clinical cases.
