Todd Erickson
DDS
Dr. Robert T. Erickson is the Director of Education at Brighter Way Dental Center. In addition, he is also the Director of the Comprehensive Oral Implantology Residency program at Brighter Way, which is an affiliate training center for Jacksonville University’s newest post-doctoral, dental education program. The program offers Resident Dentists the opportunity to earn a Masters Degree in Dentistry and a Certification in Comprehensive Oral Implantology upon completion of a rigorous, three year academic and clinical training experience. Prior to his arrival at Brighter Way, Dr. Erickson was Associate Professor at the A.T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. In addition, Dr. Erickson was Adjunct Professor for the NYU Langone Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency, in the Advanced Care Clinic at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Throughout his time at the University, Dr. Erickson was also on faculty at several private dental implant training centers in the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area. Dr. Erickson began his career as a General Dentist after completing Dental School at Creighton University and a General Practice Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He then went on to complete a Residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Michigan at what is now known as the Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital OMFS Residency program. In the years following his specialty training, Dr. Erickson was in private oral surgery practice and it was during this time that he developed a keen interest in oral implantology. To strengthen his skills in the emerging field of digital dentistry, Dr. Erickson obtained additional post-doctoral education by completing a second specialty training program in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also earned a Masters of Science in Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology. It is with this unique combination of dual dental specialties, private practice experience and years of instructing dental students, residents and practicing dentists, that Dr. Erickson will put all of his education and experience to use teaching at Brighter Way Dental. Rosen Michael
DMD, MPH
Michael Rosen, DMD, MPH, is a skilled general dentist who has taken an initiative to become an expert in all aspects of implant dentistry. He considers it an honor to share his skills and expertise with his patients and the entire dental community. Dr. Rosen earned his Bachelor of Science in cell and developmental biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he also minored in music. He went on to study at the A.T. Still University, Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ASDOH), where he earned both his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry and Masters in Public Health - Dental Emphasis. Dr. Rosen is now enrolled in the Jacksonville University Comprehensive Oral Implantology Residency Program at Brighter Way Dental. Dr. Rosen's a member of the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, where he served terms as the Chapter Vice President and President. From 2017-2018 he played an integral role in organizing ASDOH's Give Kids a Smile event and was recognized as one of the 25 most influential individuals in East Valley health care for his efforts. Dr. Rosen is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, The Punjabi Dental Society, and American Academy of Clear Aligners. Dr Rosen has a passion for enhancing dental skills he has traveled the world, to countries including Guatemala and Brazil, to learn from experts in the fields of surgery and implant dentistry. Most recently, Dr Rosen has completed the long and tenuous curriculum to become a Dawson Academy scholar, through which he learned the skills necessary to restore any patient in a manner that idealizes function, comfort and aesthetics. To better accommodate diverse patient populations, Dr. Rosen is fluent in English, Spanish, Hebrew, and Farsi. Mohammed Al-Baghdadi
DDS, BDS, MS(OS), PHD
Dr. Al-Baghdadi is a dentist with a specific interest in oral implantology and surgery. He has been studying and practicing general dentistry and oral surgery for almost 20 years on three different continents. He is dedicated to sharing his skills and expertise to serve patients in need and finds it rewarding to optimize their oral healthcare and improve their quality of life. Dr. Al-Baghdadi earned his first dental BDS degree from the University of Baghdad. He then pursued advanced surgical training and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the same university. To further advance his knowledge, he attended Newcastle University in the United Kingdom and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in dental sciences. Afterward, Dr. Al-Baghdadi moved to the United States and briefly lived and worked in Arizona. He then enrolled in the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors as the first in his program and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. During his studies, he received several awards in oral surgery and dentistry. To further enhance his training and education in oral surgery, Dr. Al-Baghdadi completed a 1-year surgical training program at the Geisinger Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship Program in Pennsylvania. He has now returned to Arizona and is currently part of the Jacksonville University Comprehensive Oral Implantology Residency Program at Brighter Way Dental Center. Dr. Al-Baghdadi is actively involved in research and teaching roles. He has multiple publications and has attended several national and international conferences. He is a member of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon national dental honor society and is also a member of multiple organizations, including the American Dental Association, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and recently joined the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, among others. On a personal note, Dr. Al-Baghdadi is married and has two little kids. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and experiencing different cultures. This 3-day course will be comprised of intensive didactic lectures and hands-on exercises that complement the presentations. Patient selection parameters and surgical techniques will be covered in detail. In addition, a significant portion of performing contemporary dental implant treatment involves the use of new technology. Therefore, the topics covered will include the use of state-of-the-art equipment, such as, CBCT imaging, specialized treatment planning software, intraoral scanning, 3D printing of surgical guides, and the use of autologous, concentrated growth factors, PRF.

Course Objective

  • Utilize software for effective and proper Treatment Planning.

  • Master Intraoral Scanning for accurate digital impression (with Medit i700) taking and merging with CBCT scan.

  • Know the different types of Surgical Guides and the protocol steps of Guide Design.

  • Gain a comprehensive overview of 3D printing technology (using Sprintray printers).

  • Assess and select patients for dental implant procedures based on clinical and medical factors.

  • Acquire the knowledge of Surgical Treatment protocol from A-Z.

  • Understand the benefits and applications of Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF).

  • How to implement and manage proper post-operative protocols and potential complications.

  • Perform live patient treatments demonstrating acquired knowledge.

Cancellation Policy

Policy and Important Information
1. 50% of registration fee is due at time of registration for the Brighter way course. This is important because all Brighter Way live surgical programs are only two to eight dentists.
2. Brighter Way’s cancellation fee is $500 up to forty-five (45) days prior to each program. After that date, there will be no refunds issued due to scheduling of patients, anesthesiologists and securing clinic treatment rooms.
3. Brighter Way may cancel courses up to thirty (45) days prior to the first day of the event.
4. The full registration amount will be refunded for courses cancelled by Brighter Way.
5. Brighter Way is not responsible for travel costs incurred for cancelled courses. Please take this into consideration when scheduling flight and hotel arrangements.
6. All attending dentists must be U.S licensed and in good standing to receive a temporary Arizona dental license.
7. All dentists must have a temporary Arizona dental license issued by the Arizona dental board. This temporary license is good for 14 days over two years.
8. Attending dentists are covered under the good Samaritan act in Arizona. Brighter Way requires that each attending dentist notify their malpractice insurance provider about the program.
9. The number of implants or procedures are not guaranteed due to the different level of clinical skill and experience by the attending dentists. Brighter Way will do everything possible to ensure that each doctor experience multiple surgical procedures.
10. Brighter Way recommends that each attending dentist bring an assistant to the program.
